TERMITE TREATMENTS
Termite mounds in gardens and properties are a common sight. With some species of termites able to travel up to 50 meters from their nests, many people panic when they see one, often resulting in a call out for a timber pest technician to deal with them. YOU WILL GO CRAZY (as will the timber pest technician) if you keep searching and calling us to destroy these nests.
A far more economical and logical way to deal with this is to have a termite management system installed around the structures you wish to keep safe (e.g. house, garage). For a chemical termite management system our company uses the chemical “Termidor”, the active ingredient being fipronil. This chemical has no odour, low mammalian toxicity (it is a scheduled 4 chemical with poisons being scheduled at 6 and 7) and is undetectable by termites. With a delayed mortality effect, termites travel freely through our treated zones and have enough time to transfer the chemical back to the nest. This will ensure that any termite colony on the property that puts pressure on these structures will be wiped out.
