If you are anything like us, COVID has been a nasty pest! The good news is that we have continued to service our client base throughout the pandemic keeping homes clear from pests and unwanted visitors! Here we are in January with Covid-19 barley behind us and its feeling like the beasties have all come out of hiding - but why?
COVID THE GIFT THAT KEEPS GIVING
During the lockdown we as a community spent alot more time indoors then we usually would. This has meant that our homes were being used alot more then it normally might and and you may have noticed increased pest activity.
Lots of people spent lockdown reordering their homes (which can disturb pests and nests), increased time in 'dirty zones' in their home like kitchens, bathrooms and laundries creating feeding grounds, and there was arguably more waste being moved from homes and the increased activity lasted alot longer than lockdown with many workers continuing to work from home in some capacity once they let us out again!
SUMMERTIME PESTS
We all know that termites are hard little workers all year round, but for many beasties they take a break from the tools over the cooler months. This siesta corrisponded with COVID lockdown so it wasnt until we got to October that people started to notice their teeny housefellows waking up.
ADJUSTMENTS TO HOW WE DO BUSINESS
We value the health and safety of our clients so we have been careful to ensure we employ handsanitiser at regular intervals, avoid direct contact (elbow handshakes have been a new experiance for us!) and of course - we wear PPE gear.

Stay Safe!
They are mostly found in beds where black stains are clearly visible, which are bugs droppings. They are commonly reddish-brown in color and very small in size. They give you red rashes of different sizes and are itchy of course.
